Students of Campus Waiblingen and PUCP Lima have been building together with the Uros craftsmen between March 2nd and 14th the Uros Habitat 2010.
They have realized daring structures of more than 5m. hight and 10m. aperture for the Community House.
Spectacular structures have been built for the Market and Uros Museum as well as for the Auditory.
Besides the structural result, new solutions for filtering drinking water and hygiene as well as variable geometry shelter and for efficient cooking have been realized.
The Uros Community, the Mayor of Uros and the City Mayor of Puno attended the inauguration ceremony of Uros habitat 2010 and warmly welcomed the results of the Totora Project.

The end of the conceptualizing workshop in Campus Waiblingen is just the start of the 3rd phase of the Totora Project.
The PUCP team and the students of Campus Waiblingen are furthermore in contact by teleconferences and e-mail during the semester project phase creating new solutions and detailing the concepts outlined together.

For the history of design, the time of Arts&Crafts when DWH was founded and built is one of the starting points.
The Totora team met the conceptual content and architectonic frame of this seminal turn of the XIX century.
As a contrast in continuity, the future bound DWH was a hands-on experience of modern technology and experimental procedures in interior design.

Invited by Deutsche Werkstätten Hellerau, member of both: Innovation Alliance and Totora Project, the students of PUCP and Campus Waiblingen visited Dresden Art Academy and DWH.

Andreas Hesky, City Mayor of Waiblingen, welcomed the students and professors from PUCP and of Campus Waiblingen in the Assembly room of Waiblingen City Hall. A extensive discussion among the students and the City Mayor was the symmetrical echo of the presentation in the City Hall of Puno, Peru.
The City Mayor of Waiblingen was nominated Honorary Member of Totora Team.
